What do we do?
We foster individual creativity while building artistic skills in fun ways. Yay!
"Everything Art Class" is a Mixed Media Adventure:
Look for our signature class, Everything Art, if your student wants to explore a variety of media (what we use to make art). We like to fully engage students by using watercolors, acrylics, pastels, pencils, clay, collage, and more! We create in the style of famous artists, learn about art from around the world, and dive into dozens of different techniques. We learn through creating our own art project in each class, focusing on both process and product.
We encourage every student to develop their own artistic style, which means no two projects leaving our studio ever look the same. Above all, we strive to create a joyful and encouraging space where students build confidence in both their artistic abilities and their individuality.
Litte Explorers:
Join us for the ultimate art exploration group for young artists! Little Explorers is especially suited to children ages 3-7 who aren't quite ready for a traditional, teacher-led class and do best with the freedom to move, explore, and create at their own pace. Each month features a new theme with multiple stations to explore, including sensory play, crafts, open-ended art projects, and a book read-aloud. Kids explore the stations with their grown-up at their own pace, making discoveries and masterpieces along the way. Best of all: we set up and clean up!
Hand-Building in Ceramics:
Students learn different techniques including pinch pots, coil building, slab construction, and all the techniques to bring their projects to life. Once students have mastered these basics, the world of clay is opened up to them! They play in the "mud" and create both decorative and functional pieces of art. All materials and firings are included.
Wheel-Throwing in Ceramics:
Our wheel-throwing clinic is offered twice this year. This group of six classes includes students 11+ who learn the basics of wheel throwing and create their own bowls, vases, mugs, etc. They will also attach handles and add decorative details. This small-group class is perfect for both absolute beginners and intermediate students, who can continue developing their skills and working at their own pace. All materials and firings are included.
Drawing Class:
Drawing Class is a once-a-month deep dive into drawing and can be taken as a stand-alone class or alongside any other class. Designed to be both fun and skill-building, students will strengthen their artistic abilities while exploring line, shading, perspective, composition, texture, and more through guided lessons, creative challenges, and plenty of drawing practice.
Drawing Class now meets on the second Friday of each month. We offer Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced classes for students ages 5–18, making it easy for artists at every stage to enjoy and grow.
Cost:
Prices listed in the class descriptions on the client portal reflect the total cost for the full ten-month school year and include all instruction and materials. The monthly “session charge” is the amount paid each month if you choose monthly autopay. This amount is simply the total yearly tuition divided evenly over ten months. For example, a class with a total yearly cost of $416 would have a monthly autopay fee of $41.60 from August through May. We also charge a one-time $15 enrollment fee and a $15 Art Showcase fee each school year.
Art Showcase:
Save the date for our next annual spring Art Showcase: May 7th, 2027, drop in between 4:00pm-6:30pm. Enjoy seeing your student's work shine in the lobby of The Younts Center. We provide refreshments, face painting, an on-site craft, and of course, a whole lot of amazing art to view!

Financial Policies:
Families may choose to pay tuition in full for the ten-month school year session (mid-August through mid-May) and receive a 5% tuition discount. To pay in full by cash or check, please contact the studio directly.
All credit card and ACH bank transfer payments are enrolled in monthly autopay, with tuition divided evenly over ten months (August through May). Upon enrollment, families will be charged the first month’s tuition along with a one-time $15 registration fee.
Tuition may be paid by cash, check, ACH transfer, or credit card. Accounts enrolled in autopay will be drafted on the first of each month using the payment method on file unless tuition has been paid in full. Families wishing to pay by cash or check instead of autopay may do so up to two business days before the scheduled draft date. Please note that all credit card transactions include a 3.5% processing fee.
If unexpected circumstances arise, such as financial hardship, scheduling conflicts, or a move, please contact the studio as soon as possible. Withdrawal requests require a 30-day written notice submitted by email to info@mabartists.com. Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Tuition and fees are non-refundable except in the event that Make and Believe Artists cancels programming due to unforeseen circumstances. In that case, families will first be offered a make-up class date and then a refund if attendance at the make-up is not possible.
Please note that accounts with unpaid balances may be subject to collections and associated fees. If your family experiences financial hardship, we encourage you to reach out before withdrawing your artist.
